      One day grampa Jones told gramma Jones that he was going into
town to apply for social security benefits.  But gramma Jones said
to him,  Pa,  you don't have a birth certificate or any other
form if identification that shows your age.  How will you
convince them that you are over 65.  Don't worry Ma, I'll
convince them.

      Two hours later Grampa came back and announced that starting
on Monday they would recieve social security checks every month.
Gramma asked him how he got them to believe that he was over
the age of 65.

      He replied that he took off his shirt and showed them the
gray hairs on his chest.  When they saw that,  he said,  they 
believed that I was over 65.

      Gramma then asked;





















     Why didn't you drop you pants and apply for disability too?

   This was heard on WYSP in Phila.
