(because it's a smaller pan.) > >Nothing wrong with that. There really isn't anything wrong with dividing a pie into 7 servings, it's just difficult to cut that many slices evenly by hand. I used to work in a restaurant which had a metal guide to use in for cutting 7 slices per pie. Apparantly 1/7th of a pie looks like a good sized piece, but 1/8th appears a bit skimpy. As for the other recipe, I for one would like to see *8* squares cut out of a SQUARE pan! Possible math thesis there! That was the point of the orginal posting.
