One day President Reagan looked out the White House window
and saw a little boy pulling a wagon filled with small
puppies across the lawn.  Ronnie went out and asked the
boy, "Those are cute puppies.  How old are they?"  The 
little boy replied, "They wuz just borned yesterday!"
Ronnie then asked, "What kind of puppies are they?", and
the boy replied, "They's Republican puppies!"

Ronnie thought that was really cute, and chuckling to
himself, went into the White House and told Nancy about
the little boy and his wagon full of "Republican puppies".

A couple weeks later, Ronnie saw the little boy again, with
the wagon and puppies trailing behind.  He said, "Nancy, you've
got to come and see this boy and his puppies!", and they
both went out to see them.

Nancy asked the boy, "What kind of puppies are those?", and the
boy replied, "They's Democratic puppies!"  At that, Ronnie
asked the boy, "But when I asked you before, you said they
were Republican puppies?"  And the little boy replied,
"Yah, but that was before they opened their eyes!"
