The exceptions are mainly developing countries in the Orient, where books copyrighted in a "first world" country are re-published without payment of royalties etc. You do not want to be caught importing such re-publications. 2) It isn't clear whether it's Orville or Wilbur who has the copywright; probably neither would appreciate being copied.
