I would put this on net.comics, but there would be too much chance of getting
the right answer quickly.  The responses here are more amusing.  (Lots of
thrashing, though...)

What was Alfred's last name?
Was it the same on TV as in the comics?
The last name used for Alfred in the comics from the late fifties (I think)
   on was not the same as the original.  How many of you know the original?

(If you want my opinion, it's the TV part that makes it more appropriate
   to this file.)
