Well, we seem to have a Duran Duran fan out there. Funny...I thought there might be a minimum age requirement for the net...(Sorry...I couldn't resist the comment. Please don't hit me.) The real problem with the concept of "bad" lyrics is that those people who feel that the lyrics are dumb may be missing the point. They may be too deep for our limitted thought processes. The other problem is that some songs are more dance oriented where, as our Duran Duran fan put it, "The Lyrics Don't Matter." Thus, the lyrics are going to be silly...but who cares? I'm not an amazing Duran Duran fan, I admit, but they do write some good danceable stuff and I love to dance. They aren't trying to write music to make you think, they are trying to write music that you don't have to think about. Personally, after spending a whole day working on a procedure, program, document, or whatever I like to do something that is positively mindless, whether it's watching Gilligan's Island on TV, going to see Rocky Horror, or listening to Duran Duran. -- "I'll do what I want and I'll Peter Merchant do it in my own time." -- Asia
