PA. Lines: 28 The Rush concert on 6 november at the Spectrum in Philadelphia was a smash!! The show opened a half-hour EARLIER than the scheduled 9:00 appearance time. Rush opened their show with the song "Spirit of Radio" followed by a multimedia presentation of "Subdivisions". The special effects used during the concert were incredible, to say the least. They included lasers, pyrotechnics, huge floodlights and the previously mentioned multimedia projections on a large screen at the back of the stage. Scenes from the "Distant Early Warning" video were shown during the band's perform- ance of the song, and Neil Peart's 11-minute drum solo during the song "YYZ" brought the audience to its feet. Geddy Lee once again led the audience in a rendition of "Closer to the Heart". Peart's drum kit for this tour consists of two complete and different kits on a single revolving riser. I don't know anything about dates or ticket availability, but if you haven't seen Rush lately or at all (especially if you are a fan of the "Grace under Pressure" album) this concert is a MUST!!
