Sometime between 1968 and 1972 the copyright laws for lp records
was changed.  Publishers were subsequently required to put the release
date on the record to copyright it.  Very few albums released
before 1968 had the release date on them.  The only possible
class of exceptions would be albums based on concert tapes when
the date of the concert would be included.
