At  the  time  period many people thought highly of fasscism.  Mussolini
was for a while the darling of the left.  Be  careful  about  projecting
modern  views  backward  to  this  time.   The  Falange is probably less
fascist than most Arab nationalist or Islamic nationalish  parties  many
of whom were influence strongly by Hitlerism.
