Re our current discussion about female heads of state/leaders/rulers/whatever,
there is an article in the November 12 issue of U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT about
just that question, at least as far as the last twenty years or so.  It covers
not just "heads of state" but high cabinet/Politburo/whatever positions also.
Go read it--it's interesting.  (Can we get royalties from them? :-) )
