Mt. Hood Meadows will be opening tomorrow, 11/2.  They have a 38" base,
with more snow expected this weekend.  Until November 21, they will be 
on a day-only operating schedule (9 - 4:30) and will be open during the 
week Wednesday through Sunday.  Six chairs will be operating tomorrow
and this weekend.

This is the earliest opening date in 15 years!

Timberline will also begin operations this weekend, and will operate days
on Friday through Mondays until November 23, then will begin full-time
operation.  Timberline has a 47" base.  They are holding their early
season lift ticket prices to $14 until they begin full time operation.
Don't know how many chairs are open, though.
