Message-ID: <741@ihuxj.UUCP> Date: Fri, 9-Nov-84 04:04:23 EST Article-I.D.: ihuxj.741 Posted: Fri Nov 9 04:04:23 1984 Date-Received: Sat, 10-Nov-84 07:47:53 EST Organization: AT&T Bell Labs, Naperville, IL Lines: 31 Here's my opinion on the "net.rel.christian" discussion. I humbly submit the following for your perusal, why not create "net.rel.comparison" (net.rel.comp) instead of isolating the "Christians" in their own group against their will. I think this might be a better solution than the ones proposed so far. I believe that it is a more logical split in the functions of "net.religion" as a whole. This is mainly because it would provide a medium for people to "compare" differant religious views/beliefs without disturbing the "debates" in the core group. It would not give the perception of "intolerance/isolation" of any one group in net.religion. I believe there is sufficent interest to create a group for the purpose of "comparing differant religious views without attacking the views of others." It should be the place where people who are curious about differant religious practices/ beliefs/manuscripts, or who wish to compare their faith/beliefs with those of other religions, can post their material un-disturbed by the intolerance of others for differing religions. Well those are my thoughts on the issue at hand. I'm not against the "Christians" setting up their own group, but do Not want to see them forced off to "never-never land" either. Intolerance only breeds Intolerance! Peace & Best Wishes, From THE Residen Zen-Baptist: Steve Aldrich (ihnp4!ihuxj!amra) P.S.
