          Mystical Revelation to Sheikh Omar al-Maiy
(roughly translated)

      For it is by Water only,
      That the Spirit of Life
	 is made manifest:
      The Lord has sent the precious
	 Soul of Wetness
      to nurture in many forms.
      Of these forms the principal 
	 ones are: (praise to the mighty clouds!)
      Rain,snow,gloom of night,
	 fog and hoarfrost.

      For the right-thinking Camel
      is led by the nose
      To the oasis.  But if your camel
	 runs off---it is of no avail!
