What SHOULD we do when 'trick-or-treaters' come to the door. Our approach has always been to turn off the lights in the main room, retire to the bedroom or study to watch TV or whatever and not answer the door. What are some other ideas? (Giving them treats is out as I will not encourage the practice.)
