Well, this idea of what network people look like is getting out of hand.

To help it along further, let me propose the following:

As soon as I get it working again, anyone who wishes (and makes an
appointment) may come over to pose in front of our video digitizer.
Only one-shot (ie. head and shoulders) views will be taken.  I'll
digitize the picture, hexify the output, and electronic mail it to the
person, who may then post it to the network.  

No, I'm NOT going to let you mail me a photo.  I'd really rather do this
only for people I can meet in person.  I'm sure to meet some nice people
this way, as sort of a side-effect.

Am I as crazy as this sounds?

Technoid note: Its a 64 gray level 256x256 black&white picture (no, 
I can't do it in color).
