Random thoughts on the aspect of being a 'class act'.....

Y'know, just about everyone of us knows someone, or has been
aquainted with someone who could be defined as a 'classy person' or
a 'class act'.	Usually it isn't the MOTAS that you even end up
living with, but a very good friend.  Anyway, I've been thinking
about it, and have come up with some operational definitions of what
constitutes a 'class act'.


A 'class act' is someone who:

     1.  Will be there with a cup of tea, a bottle of wine, or a
	 kick in the behind, depending on what you need.

     2.  Doesn't care when and if your parents 'got off the boat',
	 and judges you by the way *you* are, rather than by your
	 standing in the social register.

     3.  Doesn't go about offering their opinion on your new MOTAS,
	 but when you ask their opinion, will give you the truth.

     4.  Knows when to jolly you up, but also knows when to let 
	 you sit in the bedroom and brood. They also know when
	 you need a hug the worst, and when one more person
	 touching you would send you over the edge.

     5.  Realises that verbal invitations, like affairs, are best 
	 done in private.

     6.  Can make just about anyone comfortable in a room full of 
	 strangers, and can make drinking cheap red wine out of
	 pineapple cheese glasses a memorable occasion.

     7.  Saves your sanity on more than one occasion....
