The solution: be just a teensy bit pushy. People *do* forget, or get tied up in other things, or decide that maybe *you* weren't that interested. My schedule isn't organized enough for me to guarantee a call two weeks in the future. Don't sit by the phone waiting passively for a does-she-or-doesn't-she answer.
