(I have tried it myself and have successfully bailed out of unpleasant dreams. Better yet, when a really GOOD dream has abruptly vanished, I have been able to restart it by [semi-consciously] changing positions until I found the dream again.) As I recall, the book with this delightful tidbit was call "Creative Dreaming" and it covered many other topics and TECHNIQUES to develop the ability to dream at will and to actually control dreams.
