Now, the other member of said "contingent" is reporting . . . > I'm a little disappointed that in the three weeks since my party, I > have seen nary a reference to it in anything by any of the survivors. > No rumors, no threats, no police reports, nothing. Well, Gene, you see I just got out of jail... something about illicit activities with a nubile sheep.. (More on this later).. > ... and the stereo was played > loudly into the early hours of the morning. This *was* my first experience with a Compact Disc player.. (it was good for both of us . . such vibrations . . . ;-} ). Seriously, we did get to hear some awesome tunes (1812 Overture included here..) we even got directions to a rather large record shop in Atlanta which we visited on our way back to the hinterlands.. We even got to meet some very interesting folks.. a young lady with a telepathic nametag: +--------------------------+ | Hello, I am ... | | | | * | | | | * for the telepathically| | inclined . . . | +--------------------------+ and her faithful companion, one of the Cybermen from that other Georgia institution. . . We met the gentleman who seems to enjoy riding the bumpers of moving trucks.. There was a phantom drink-mcburglar in the crowd who quaffed my last California Cooler ("Stop that man!") and a variety of other techheads and assorted others... And, of course, we *did* get to meet Kathy (does my memory serve me correctly here?), Spaf's squeeze... > ... The crew who stayed overnight (does 4am til noon > count as night?) even lived through my cooking brunch. Several treats here... my safety was guaranteed "overnight" by the watchful eyes of a nubile sheep perched atop the divider which was next to the sofa which I called home that morning.. I truly felt safe ... but then, the Undue Purversity police broke in. And I might add: damn good eatin'! (that was seriously, by the way!) That was brunch, of course... Spaf (originally a New Yorker, like myself... the devil made him move to Atlanta, I think.. ) treated this Connecticut Yankee to all kinds of Southern Hospitality... grits (of course, I wanted to put milk and sugar on the grits ) and country bacon and eggs and all kinds of good stuff... I haven't eaten so well since. > Basically, dull, dull, dull. I guess I'll have to have another one. That'd be nice... if I can con Jeff into driving *all* the way to Atlanta again (I don't drive... heh heh heh heh...) just set a date and a time... we still haven't found that hubcap... -------------------------------------------------------------------- Henry C.
