However, in this case I think the author knows all this, and is providing the poll to make an obvious point. To help him out, I have provided the obvious answers in upper case. - Toby Robison (not Robinson!) allegra!eosp1!robison or: decvax!ittvax!eosp1!robison or (emergency): princeton!eosp1!robison The poll: Dear netters, I have noticed (as I am sure that many of you have noticed) a basic hostility between men and women. This can be seen in categories such as net.women and net.singles. To attempt to discover the reasons for this hostility, I propose the following survey. Simply indicate whether you are male or female and answer the questions. The results of the survey will be posted to the aforementioned newsgroups in about two weeks. Please forward your filled-in answer sheet to me at: ..!{sdcrdcf, presby, psuvax1, allegra, purdue}!burdvax!vacca. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: MEN-WOMEN SURVEY ---------------- 1. I am MALE__. (male or female) 2. The attitude of the opposite sex that is most prevalent and disturbs me the most is: I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THE OPPOSITE SEX HAS AN "ATTITUDE"; I TAKE INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE AS THEY ARE. 3. I believe that the reason for this attitude amongst the opposite sex is: SEE THE ANSWER TO THE PREVIOUS QUESTION. (If you believe that this attitude is a real problem and has significant ramifications if not remedied, please answer the next question.) 4. I ______________ (believe/do not believe) that this attitude problem can be solved. (Any additional comments about why you believe/do not believe it can be solved are welcome). WHAT PROBLEM ARE YOU IMAGINING?
