I saw a cartoon a few years ago that I think explains
a lot.  It showed Adam, just after being created.
He has no genitals.  God looks at him and says "Hmm,
something's missing" and adds genitals.
Adam is pleased with the addition.  Then God says to him,
"There's just one catch.  You can't use it."

I think as long as people believe that this story is the way
it happened and the way it SHOULD BE, the world will be 
full of frustrated, lonely people, and sexism, and guilt-inducing
religions, and net.singles.

Sounds obvious, but it's worth mentioning every now and then
