Funny, though, there are not any really hardcore algebraists on the team. I don't think this is by any means an original name. Our volleyball team is called the 'Perfect Sets' Before my time at the Univ. of Illinois, the Math dept graduate students had a team called the 'Mother Functors' and later the 'Transfinite Cardinals'.
