Statistics Lines: 11 Dan points out the Padres won their division decisively. Small wonder, too, considering the second-place Braves winning percentage. In fact, if one were to standardize the NL schedules (i.e. count each inter-division game as 1.5 games so that each team "plays" each other team 18 times), I wouldn't be surprised to see the Padres come out fourth or worse in the laegue overall.
