If anyone happens to catch the official NCAA defensive rankings Oklahoma's defense is the best in the nation. About Winchester' punt: If he had first gained control of the ball, and then gone down, the ball would be dead at that point. But, the impetus of the snap forced him to drop down to 1 knee to get it. That according to twoo different radio stations (indifferent to either team(( explained it. About the interception: Unfortunately, The Eyes Of Texas are too blind to see the obvious; that the end-zone contact was incidental. But I don't expect that to change the minds of those too blind to see. Unfortunately, the OU that lost to Kansas is not the same team that beat Texas (yes, Beat Texas. Fred Akers couldn't win a big game without the officials; just ask SMU..) Danny Bradley, starting QB, was out with a sprained ankle and a hand injury; since our original #2 QB was declared ineligible, we were forced to start who would have been a redshirt Freshman. Our starting fullback has a broken knee acp, our starting split end had stomach flu. Result? Offense can't do too much. And it gets worse. We just lost two defensive starters to injury in a terrible car accident. Fortunately, they'll both be allright but it'll be a least 9 months for rehabilitation for both players, according to news reports. As for the OU rosterr consisting of 75% Texas folk, well, while the percentage is of course, wrong, it speaks well of those who knew that there was nothing in Texas worth staying for. As for Washington, while I have no personal antipathy for them, I feel as a #1 team they are a joke. They'll have plenty of chances to be beaten. Boomer Sooner David Whitney !ctvax!uokvax!uok!dwhitney
