The text becomes single spaced and footnotes are printed one word to a line. Here is an example: Here is an example of what I am talking about, notice what I said happens after I decide to use a .DS .DE sequnece. .DS One phrase followed by another and another .DE See what I mean. Notice how the lines are no longer doubled space, instead they are single spaced\*F .FS This even happens when I use .DF instead of .DS.
