Carolina at Chapel Hill Lines: 15 We are interested in purchasing a commercially developed and supported version of the famous EMACS editor. We know of two commercial versions and are trying to decide between the UniPress Software, Inc. version of the EMACS editor and the Computer Corporation of America (CCA) version of the EMACS editor. I would appreciate it if you would send me by MAIL any thoughts or experiences you have with either or both of these versions. Are there any other commercial versions available? We will be running them in a UNIX 4.2 environment and are concerned about performance of the editor. How solid is the code? How responsive are the vendors to bug reports? What is the quality of the documentation? Thanks in advance. If there is sufficent response I will summarize and post to the network.
