Although the group is not very active, it does serve a purpose. First of all, the "underground" mailing list exists. Judy McMullan, the moderator of the list, recently posted her address. If you want to be added to the list, contact her. Both men and women are on the list. I don't believe any of us have disappeared from Earth, and we still post to other groups on the net. However, we don't have to worry about irrational flaming; we argue reasonably but don't flame. Even in mod.women, if it is ever created, people would be able to flame by mail. So we are sticking with the mailing list. Originally, this group was meant to be a place where women could ask questions which they didn't have to justify such as shaving of legs, rips in pantyhose, menstrual products, or makeup. Men could respond if they had something con- structive to say. Maybe people haven't needed to ask those questions. Maybe the mailing list fills that need. But this group should remain active for those PEOPLE who have questions about women but don't want to be part of the mailing list. If you want to ask questions pertaining to women, ask. If you read something here and have something constructive to say, say it. But don't flame and don't ask why the topic is important. If you have to flame this, do it by mail.
