I've just finished putting together a new release of the U of T variant
of ed(1), also known as the "Redelmeier ed" (and less correctly as the
"Zoology ed").  This is basically a "maintenance release", mostly bug
fixes and cleanup work.  There have been a few changes to user-visible
behavior, mostly minor convenience things.  The help files are much
more complete.

This release should be noticeably more bug-free and portable than the
older ones.  (In particular, the notorious bug which made "too big" a
disastrous, unrecoverable error has been fixed.  Mea culpa.)  If you
are using the U of T ed, you should probably upgrade.  Complete sources
and documentation are in utzoo!~uucp/ed.maint.tar, which is a tar archive
of about 300KB.
