I know this has been discussed before, but I (as usual) wasn't paying
attention at the time.

We (a 4.2 site) recently started talking to a Unix V site, and invariably
we timeout while waiting for hangup messages from them. The fix was posted,
and I would appreciate it if someone would mail me the fix.
