Regarding the alternatives to capital punishment: lifetime and public incarceration. Let the public know that this little cell is what awaits you for the rest of your life if you commit what is now a capital offense. Show how much fun it must be to never see daylight. And let these miserable souls become public figures. Take them to schools in their chains and show school children what a life of crime leads to. But no matter what, do not kill them.
