There has got to be a balance struck between pet and human rights. I believe that animals are just that, animals. They are NOT people, and will never be. There are some people that really do not deserve to be called humans though, as shown by the recent events in "the island" here in Chicago, were a bunch of slugs terrorized a black family and later a hispanic family that tried to move into that fine neighborhood. The real sick thing about this event is that the idiots that did the terrorizing were the children of people who left Europe to get away from predudice and hate , evidently to practice it here on anyone they didn't like. Anyway, to get back to the point, I think that the animal lovers and such have got to realize that you can not get away from using animals for medical experiments, or for food, for a long time to come. The alternatives are just too unfeasible to get society to accept using people for experiments, or banning the use of meat for food. Also, a lot of the "nature lover" types from the cities fall for the cute Bambie the Deer, or Grisly Adams type of "nature", since a lot of them never get around to seeing REAL nature, or only get to the trailer park parks and live out of there mobile homes for 2 weeks while watching there soaps. I am not trying to get a major war going here, just trying to get a little common sense into the picture. Al Zantow !ihuxx!ndsss "Benson, your are so free of the ravages of intelligence"-Time Bandits
