Cases involving the legality of arrests occur regularly. The law is subtle. People who understand the law are worth a lot of money to the poor sods who don't. Is it likely that such a person would become a cop? When society demands that attorneys spend the five years after they graduate law school as police officers then you will be able to ask the officer why. Till then you're taking you chances with someone who's willing to risk their life for 1800$/mo. There are two kinds: Saints and Scumbags. The latter outnumber the former. Scott Bryan I've met both. 1) Does anyone understand the law? Can I go out and get a copy of it? (what would I need to carry it home?) How long would it take me to read it? Is a general understanding sufficient? Unfortunately, even the most learned lawyer would admit there are many things about the law that he does not know. Of course the Police need only concern himself with criminal law, but this in itself, If you can tell me why someone capable of understanding our laws
