There was getting to be quite a number of black-owned businesses (restaurants and the like). The local white community was aghast and have organized a BOYCOTT of the black businesses, and have pickets on duty during open hours. The blacks say they are just trying to make a living, and that the boycott is really hurting them, but the whites say that the blacks are just inserting themselves where they are not wanted, and ruining the character of the neighborhood. I find this racist attitude and boycott to be thoroughly disgusting. FLAME ON!!! I lied about the above story. In reality, it is taking place in Harlem. It is a predominantly black community. A number of Koreans (with US citizenship) are moving in and setting up businesses, and the black community has organized the boycott, and claimed that the neighborhood is being ruined. How does THAT affect your indignation? If discrimination and racism frost me, hypocrisy about it really frosts me! (I suppose some flames would thaw me out :-)) FLAME OFF. -- ". . . and shun the frumious Bandersnatch." Robert Neinast (ihnp4!ho95b!ran) AT&T-Bell Labs
