Many countries, including the USA, depend heavily on importing things they
don't produce.  One sensible approach to economics, assuming world peace,
is to have each area specialize in what it's most efficient at.  Since
Ethiopia seems more efficient than we are at generating new people, perhaps
they could ship them here in return for food. Then we could have the 
continually growing population needed to sustain the US economy without
having to resort to the tactics of the Feminine Mystique.
