              One day a traveling salesman came home from the being on the
road.  His wife's sister had been staying with her while he was away, and had
brought her dog along.  Well, the salesman didn't want to disturb anybody, so
he went to the frig and took out some ground beef and made himself a sandwich,
and, his hunger satisfied, went to bed.  The next morning he told his wife,
"That was the best ground beef I've ever had! Where did you get it?" "That 
wasn't beef, that was the dog's food!", she replied. "Well it was terrific," he
said, "and I want you to get me a case of the stuff."
          The next time the wife went shopping, she told the grocer (who knew
her) to give her a case of this dog food. "I didn't know you had a dog", he  
said. "I don't -- it's for my husband." "You can't feed him that! It'll kill
him!", said the grocer.  Nevertheless, the wife took home the dog food.
          A week later the woman was back in the market.  The grocer said,  
"How's your husband?"  "He's dead ", replied the woman. "I told you about that
dog food!", said the grocer. She said," But it wasn't the dog food that killed
him!  He became so obsessed with the dog food that he loved so much that he  
would come home at night and *insist* on having his dog food.  Sometimes he
would eat two and three cans a night.  Well, one night he was sitting out
by the trash cans, licking his balls, and he got hit by a truck."
