Today's newspaper 'The Oregonian' reports on the outcome of Oregon's write-in
vote in the presidential election.   They list all of the names written in,
from Larry Flynt (publisher of 'Hustler' magazine) to Sen. Mark Hatfield.
Then they write:

"Outpolling all of the above presidential write-ins were that ever-popular duo,
Bill the Cat and Opus, the cndidates fielded by the Meadow Party in the comic
strip Bloom County."

Yeah!
