Good luck; you'll need it. And no, I am not just being facetious. Not entirely, anyway. Mapping symbols to short names automatically loses badly if every compiler has to do it independently, and none of them agree on the conventions or the symbol-table format. If you have the luxury of having support systems (like debuggers) custom-built for one language, that's fine.
