One wonders what Greenberg would have done if the same client had
called regarding a contract programmer who was black.  Yep, $9000
is a *lot* of money, and I REALLY NEED a new {_______}.  Hey, you
can't blame me out there, can you?  What would you do, anyway?

Appealing to the lowest common denominator is one of the oldest
foibles, but that doesn't make it honorable.
