Personally, I enjoyed the movie very much. I was amazed at the amount of symbolism the writer was able to incorporate into the movie. I didn't think that the movie was intended to be a comedy, although there certainly were some very humorous scenes. As for the ending, two thoughts came to me immediately. 1)Oppresion will only be tolerated so long before the oppressed rise up and revolt. 2)I thought that the last scene on the subway symbolized the "Underground Railroad", but I'm only guessing.
