 Does anyone out there know about the origin of the song
"Cotton-eyed Joe", which was more or less the theme song
of this movie? I read on a Skillet-Lickers album cover
that cotton-eyed joe may have been a character suffering
from trachoma, and that the song is of minstrel origins.
