Three additional points: 1) Broadcasters are generally unwilling to transmit materials without adequate screening. Whether or not lawsuits would actually occur is beside the point. The broadcast operators make their own rules in this regard. 2) A broadcast service would (will) have very high visibility *very* quickly. The current "low profile" of Usenet will vanish into the wind, whether we like it or not. 3) While the doomsayers predict, there are those of us who have been working, so far with success, to deal with the situation.
