re: usenet liability; Mark Callow is quite right.  It turns out that one
of the very major factors in becoming a publisher these days is being able
to both hire very good libel lawyers, but also being able to financially
withstand suits in general.  You see, once you're sued, you are going to
lose ($$$ for defending it) even if you win.  That's the real implicit
