If anyone out there has got a Cannon PW1080A etc series NLQ dot matrix printer
they may be interested to know that the optional RAM for your very own char sets
which , from Canon costs about $79.00 over here in the UK can be replaced by 
a standard Hitachi 6264 8kx8 static RAM chip. The L is fine. Insert the chip in
the socket marked 2764 (6264) throw sip switch 1/5 and away you go! saving several tens of pounds / dollars.
