There's not much we can do about it, except to try and ensure that such things don't happen again by supporting nations that the USSR is now threatening. It makes you wonder about the sanity of people who are always complaining about how terrible the US is when it comes to "imperialism", but don't seem to realize what we are up against in fighting the USSR...
