Although I have been a member of Audubon for more than a year, this past weekend was my first Audubon group birdwatching trip. We visited the Tillamook bay area of Oregon. My 7 x 35 Tasco binoculars were no match for the spotting scopes that several other members carried -- and with my less-than-perfect eyesight, that meant a lot less birding. I am interested in information and prices on scopes and tripods. I was advised that Audubon had the best prices, but would like information of mail-order and catalog showroom purchases. The only catalog showroom I know of in Oregon is Jafco -- and there's always Sears. Brand and price information would be appreciated. Adele R. Mangiapane
