A newsgroup for comparative religion would be an excellent idea; in fact,
my opinion is that that is what net.religion should be.  The problem is
that one cannot make certain classes of statements about religion (i.e.,
the origin of certain works, notably the Five Books of Moses) without
it being construed by some as an attack on their religion.  But the
concept is good...
