Ther model 2002, the revision, is basically the same but with a few improvements. The 2002 is about $175 from 47th street Photo in New York. For slightly less money ($125), you can get a Panasonic RF6500 from the same place. I hear sound quality is comprable to the 2002, but less sensitivity and selectivity than the digital 2002. Finally, for about $60 you can get a Panasonic RF083 which is supposed to be fine in Europe (where stations are quitte strong). For more current info, consult the 1985 Radio/TV Handbook, which will have up to date reviews and info. As far as the car goes, there is a book around (terribly out of date) called <>. My parents used it to do just that when we were there in 1974 on sabbatical. -Ben Leimkuhler
