Message-ID: <2914@Glacier.ARPA> Date: Thu, 24-Jan-85 23:13:34 EST Article-I.D.: Glacier.2914 Posted: Thu Jan 24 23:13:34 1985 Date-Received: Sun, 27-Jan-85 04:44:07 EST Distribution: net Organization: Stanford University, Computer Systems Lab Lines: 14 I recently bought a Carver TX-11 tuner to replace an old Sanyo, and I am at a loss for superlatives to explain how wonderful it really is. I know that all of the magazines went ga-ga over it when it first came out, but I tend to disbelieve most rave reviews of new products. From my location in central Palo Alto, at the north end of Silicon Valley, I can get good-quality stereo reception on about 40 FM stations, including some as far away as Marin and Santa Cruz. I remember the way I felt when I got a new pair of glasses after a week of fuzziness when I broke my specs; plugging in that Carver tuner and hooking it up to my TV distribution amplifier gave my ears the same feeling that the new glasses gave my eyes. -- Brian Reid decwrl!glacier!reid Stanford reid@SU-Glacier.ARPA
