First, gasohol fires at a lower temperature than do our "normal" gasolines. As such, it fires more completely quicker. In other words, the timing of the spark may have to be altered to compensate. This leads to the other major point that I wanted to make. Most new cars are "computer" controlled. The spark timing and fuel mixtures are monitered and adjusted electronically. Before using gasohol, check your new car warranty. I believe that on some types of vehicles, use of gasoline/alcohol mixtures will void these warranties. I have also heard that use of gasohol in an older motor could cause that motor to look for an early junkyard. I can't substantiate that rumor but I can see the rationale behind it. I would like to see a summary of the response you receive if you would take the time. There are probably plenty others who would like to see that too. Brian Tymchak AT&T NS, Columbus
