I was playing as THE WIZARD and, unfortunately, accidentally,
quite sadly, I slaughtered my doggy with a crysknife.  When a
dog next showed up, I tossed some tripe rations at it, but it
ignored those and proceeded to rip my shins out.  SO...I
killed that one, too.  Then I used a wand of wishing to get (I
thought) a wand of taming, which someone had mentioned a while
back on the net.  I zapped the dog, but it was a wand of fire,
and another dog bit the big one.  Is this wand of taming a
myth?  And why didn't the stray dog want any yummy tripe?
